About Vanessa Curney


Communications  – writing, editing and stakeholder engagement

After graduating with a Masters degree in Journalism Studies and following stints in London at the BBC as a Business Assistant, and as a journalist/editor in Brussels, a communications career beckoned. This has spanned from working for international professional associations in London and Brussels; in local and central government (UK); for international NGOs and think-tanks; and for international organisations such as UNICEF, UN Global Compact and UNDP/International Policy Centre for Inclusive Growth, as well as on Africa and Asia-Pacific related campaigns. Projects have often involved collaborating with both public and private sectors, and tackling global issues ranging from human rights, children and young people, energy security and the environment, MDGs and EU affairs.
